Ilé Àbò – Our Place hosted its inaugural program on May 17, 2025. A one-day workshop designed for middle and high school students from refugee, asylum-seeking, and immigrant backgrounds in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

We welcomed 25 students from diverse communities who came together to build financial literacy, ask thoughtful questions, and gain confidence in planning for their futures.

It was truly inspiring to witness so many bright, curious young people actively engaging in conversations about managing money and making informed financial decisions. Through interactive videos, group activities, meaningful discussions, and a shared meal, the day was both educational and empowering.
